Predator Control

 The Predator Control Portfolio keeps the Trust up to date with pest management in the catchment including work undertaken by the New Zealand Conservation Trust.  The Trust has also opened a trap library. Our trap library will enable us to lend out traps to landowners and other community members so you can undertake backyard trapping projects and help reduce the number of pests in the Pūharakekenui. 

The Trap Library is open from 9-12 the last Thursday of each month (except December) and is run by Programme Manager Anita Spencer. If you're interested in borrowing a trap from the Trust and can't make it when the Trap Library is open, appointments can be made with Anita Spencer at anita@thestyx.nz.

Dale Hedgcock

Dale is General Manager at Willowbank Wildlife Reserve. Willowbank is an MOU partner of the Styx Living Laboratory Trust. Dale moved to New Zealand in 2006 from South Africa. Studied Mechanical Engineering, but changed careers to work and focus on the family business. In his spare time Dale enjoys watching the kids sports and running.
