Spotlight on an Artist - Timothy Veling

Tim J Veling is our second creative communicar and is producing a photographic record of sites along the catchment. Tim is undertaking this position while on sabbatical from his role as Senior Lecturer/Head of Photography department at University of Canterbury.  Tim uses a Linhof Technorama camera with roll film in a tri colour process. To do this, he exposes three separate exposures for each shot on black and white film, each filtering a different part of the light colour spectrum - red, green or blue. Hand producing C-type prints using the same filters creates a composite colour image.

Tim will be doing an exhibition soon and we look look forward to sharing these stunning composite images.
